 The Finger Lakes Regional EMS Council, Inc. was empowered in 1986 by the New York State Department of Health Bureau of EMS to coordinate EMS programs within the four county area of Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates.

The Finger Lakes Regional EMS Council has a collaborative agreement with Finger Lakes Community College to provide credit bearing EMS courses.
